Position Overview
Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a skilled Procurement Engineer to join their client's dynamic team in Telluride, Colorado. This is a direct hire position offering an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in project integration and communication, on-site setup, and comprehensive procurement management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing procurement processes, managing budgets, and ensuring seamless project operations.
Responsibilities
- Project Integration & Communication: Serve as the primary liaison between the project team, departments, and external suppliers. Participate in project meetings to inform the team on procurement needs and potential delays, assisting personnel in a professional and timely manner.
- On-Site Setup & Administration: Manage jobsite setup, including office trailers and essential services.
- Procurement Log: Create and maintain procurement logs.
- Budget & Procurement Management: Oversee budget and buyout for all project equipment, materials, and services, ensuring timely ordering, negotiating competitive pricing, and managing submittal requests.
- Invoice & Financial Management: Manage the Medius queue, validate invoice pricing, and review change order requests. Confirm receipt of all invoiced items and prepare invoice packages as directed.
- P.O. & Subcontract Management: Ensure accurate committed costs and manage the timely execution of subcontracts, overseeing subcontractor enrollment in project-specific programs.
- Equipment Rental Management: Utilize existing agreements or negotiate new ones for equipment rental, performing rent vs. buy analysis and tracking equipment on rent.
- Supplier Management: Act as a conduit for project needs to supplier base, resolving issues, coordinating returns, and maintaining vendor relationships.
- Logistics Support: Source and manage transportation suppliers for project needs, overseeing costs throughout the project duration.
- Project Close Out: Validate all PO/subcontract values and ensure all invoices are submitted and paid, managing the closeout of open commitments.
- Other Duties: Perform any other duties as assigned by their supervisor.
Position Requirements
- Strong verbal communication and listening skills, both over the phone and in person.
- Strong business writing skills, including the use of proper grammar and terminology.
- Ability to demonstrate high customer service skills.
- Ability to organize large amounts of information while maintaining attention to detail.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a related position or industry.
- H.S. Diploma or equivalent; college courses in a related field are preferred.
- Proficiency in Invoice Processing & Finvari Support or specific areas within the first 4 weeks.
- Working knowledge of H.V.A.C. parts and equipment required.
- Knowledge of local manufacturers' representatives and dealers.
- Knowledge of local contractors including electrical, general, crane, etc.
- Ability to demonstrate accuracy and a detail-oriented approach to data entry.
- Proficient-plus level user of MS Excel and MS Word.

Benefits
This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 per year, with opportunities for professional growth and development within the company.
